This is Valley
I’m trying to find her a home where she can be happy and cared for. She is a rescue who I’ve been caring for for 3 years now.
She is an ~6y/o Anatolian cross, weighs about 120lbs, has been been spayed and has all shots up to date. She is also the sweetest and most gentle dog with people and is very submissive. She loves kids, adults, men and women and anyone who will stop to pat her.
She is extremely well house trained, stays off beds and couches, doesn’t eat off counters (even though she can reach) and will not ever pee or ruin furniture. She’s fine home alone for a full day, and is very quiet and will just sleep it off. She enjoys laying in the sun, or playing on the beach and in the snow. She is a livestock guardian and will scare any bear off the property, no matter the size or boldness, and will keep deer out of the garden.
Valley has always gotten along with every dog she’s lived with, and tries to play with most of the ones she meets.
She is, however very reactive to skittish or aggressive dogs, and cannot be trusted around small dogs or cats. She also doesn’t have good recall when other animals are in the environment. I always walk her with a leash and harness for this reason.
I think she would be best suited to a house or farm with a fenced yard, where she’d be very easy to care for. She has become very well trained for indoor recall and is very food motivated.
I can’t care for her anymore because my work/life situation requires me to travel a lot and I don’t have the resources to have her cared for when I’m gone.
